Hi all,
So i think i have this 1,5 GB drive for about 12 years now.
Didn't have any problems with it.
Officially it was released in 2009 but i bought it later, in 2012 i think.
I already have my 6 sata slots full so i wonder is worth spending money on a new driver despite the old one is working still.
Thanks for your input.
Cheers,

Keep good backups and run it until it croaks.

Might be a good time to consolidate several of your drives into larger ones, or build out an actual NAS if that isn't what your system is already doing.

1.5 TB isn't that much these days. 18TB for $270...

14TB Seagate IronWolf NAS or Pro drive $230. If a pair of them can replace all your drives, I would lean that way.

I use a 4TB WD Red Pro disk with two older 3TB drives as rotating backups for important stuff. I have tried to cut back on local storage somewhat. Hoping to get an 4TB SSD at some point to replace the live storage and then use the WD Red as backup.
