I have 4 stick combined of 32gb 3600mhz
In bios it show 2400mhz
Cpuz show other numbers far below...
When i try to eneble xmp1 or 2 i get the same mhz on bios and the same on the cpuz

Im doing something wrong or maybe i dont read the info correctly?
Thanks for any info you can give me

There is no overclocking setting
My pc is on defult state.

I just want to be sure that everything is ok with my ram and if there is any advice you can give me.
Thanks in advance

Motherboard can run 128 Gb max.
Motherboard can also run RAM up to 5000Mhz.

Both are true, but not at the same time. :)

For 1 stick, the motherboard has a max speed. For 2x, dual channel kits there is a separate max speed. And when using a 4x kit, there is again a separate max speed.
And when using mixed kits, or 3 sticks, most likely the motherboard will run it at stock speeds.

The more sticks you use, the lower the overall speed.

However, you can look up the motherboard QVL and see if there are any 4x kits. Those kits are meant to use 4 sticks, and they will run up to motherboard max speed with 4 sticks. Such kits are usually expensive.

You're better off using a 2x kit that is has more Gb, but very fast, high Gb 2x kits are...

To be clear, what is the make/model of the ram kit?
Did it come in a package made by Teamgroup?

When a motherboard starts up, it tries to use the settings you specified.
If it finds a problem, it will revert to a slower speed.
Yea it came in one package
Everything run fine
Just no matter what
If i choose xmp 1 or 2 is all the same on 2400mhz
When i start my pc
I dont get it

In the end ive noticed that when i choose xmp2 and going to advenced mode in bios, its write to the side of the screen 3600mhz with 1.35volt in settings.
But in the main screen of the bios still write 2400mhz...
MAybe i should ask for refund

Still...thank you all for trying :)

I'm having trouble understanding the report.
Not your fault. It's sort of vague. hmmm

Is this your kit?

Is this your ram?

https://www.newegg.com/team-16gb-28...MIzcHzkonWhQMVG59aBR0_1A7aEAQYASABEgLrIfD_BwE

If so, it is a 2 stick kit, and two such kits are not matched which is causing your problem.
The speed specs are only for the two matched sticks in the kit.
Running 4 sticks is much more difficult for the motherboard so it backs off to default values.

To try to fix the issue:
Go into the bios with just two sticks.
Set the desired speeds and timings. Then increase the ram voltage higher than the 1.35v that is on the ram chip.
You might need to go ads high as 1.4v.
When you can boot at the desired settings, install all 4 stick and test with memtest.

It boots from a usb stick and does not use windows.
You can download it here:

If you can run a full pass with NO errors, your ram should be ok.

Running several more passes will sometimes uncover an issue, but it takes more time.
Probably not worth it unless you really suspect a ram issue.

Hi
Thanks again for your advice
I did as you said
8 pass no error it all

And the result are:
When there is 2 memory xmp1 show 3600 on both of them

But when all the 4 stick are working
I get down to 2400mhz on all of them
No matter whice xmp i choose

In the and i feel i have been mislead by the seller and buy 4 3600mhz that run on 2400mhz for unknown reason.

I have the right to ask for refund or replace but im afraid that no matter what ram i will get it still will run on lowest mhz.

And its not fair to be honest beacuse on the motherboard page it said that i can run 128gb max with high speed up to 5000mhz

I guess in the next build i will buy motherboard with 2 slot for ram and not 4
And maybe i need to make homework on what ram will run perfectly with 4 atick without me massing with this all day.

Thank you for trying
I give up on this.

P.s sorry for my bad english

You're better off using a 2x kit that is has more Gb, but very fast, high Gb 2x kits are expensive.

You light my eyes with this info!
Now i know what to do
I will look into qvl file on asus and see what will run the way i want

Thank you very much
Im almost giving up on this
God bless you friend

If you can exchange the ram, buy a 2 stick kit of 2 x 16gb 3600 speed.
Ram operates in dual channel only so, 2 sticks should operate as fast as 4.

The xmp numbers you see are embedded in the ram sticks themselves.
The specs are what it needs to run at 3600, assuming you are running the dual stick kit.
When you try to run 4 sticks, that no longer applies.

You can not use the xmp shortcut to set your ram specs when using mismatched ram.
As I indicated before, specify the specs explicitly in the ram settings part of the motherboard bios. Do not attempt to use xmp which will be wrong for 4 sticks.
You will have to experiment with your own settings.
The key setting will be to specify the ram voltage HIGHER than the xmp 1.35v.
Start with 1.37v and boost it gradually in small increments. You may have to go past 1.40v, perhaps as high as 1.45v.

hi again
i have a new info why i have the problem.
i forget my no.1 rule always check qvl file motherboard

thats the ram TF4D48G3600HC18JBK
He is NOT supported by the motherboard i have B660-A
and thats the reason why my ram run on defult 2400mhz
refund was made for this one in the end:

32GB 4x16GB 3000MHz DDR4 CL15 1.35v - FURY Beast RGB Series - KF430C15BB1AK2/32

he is on the list of qvl page :)

the weird thing that cmd dosent show the part number you asked me to show
but other details yes
so after i put the ram out the case, on the stick there was the details i need to give you from the beginning.
again thanks for everone here for the info and help
most appreciated.

Ok, that makes a lot of sense now. It is strange the partnumber doesn't return the RAM id.

Good that you solved the problem!
