MSI 970 Gaming MB, Not detecting ethernet is plugged in

Few things I need to know if you have tried. Have you looked for any BIOS update (which can include NIC firmware)? Have you replaced the cable, I know it sounds stupid but I have seen some odd things happen with a flaky cable.

    3 networks plz help

I have no idea why you would be doing this but what exactly is the question? Are you having speed issues? Are you running all these routers directly off the modem or do you have a router behind a router configuration? Personally for a 3 network setup I would purchase a business class router...

Having terrible time with ping spikes need help please

If you want help you are going to need to provide more information. Your ping spikes are to one address, or multiple? Are you on WiFi? Have you bypassed the router? Changing your DNS will help with lags when connecting to websites, and should have no affect on ping times. There are hundreds...

RAID 5 a HDD Has Failed

Right, well people create posts on a forum when there is an issue, not when everything is going well. Out of curiosity what do you think the amount of on-board raid arrays in people's homes are compared to a higher cost dedicated solution 5:1, 10:1? I bet it's significantly higher.

    Storage spaces question

Unfortunately I am no expert on storage spaces but I believe the parity is done on the fly as data writes sometimes resulting in very poor performance. There are ways to help with performance like making the "controller" believe it has a battery backup, which should only be done if using a UPS...

2TB HDD Samsung external hard disk problems

Download Seatools fro windows and run some scans on the drive (if it even sees it). You must remember that sometimes drives come DOA or are damaged. You should still have solid warranty coverage if there is an issue but this is the first step for opening a warranty claim.

Loading Device driver when installing windows.

You want the txtsetup.oem driver to install so the OS can see the SCSI controller. This should be in a zip file around 500kb in size (fits on a floppy). You should be able to find the very small driver package that will allow you identify the controller, put it on a USB drive and install it...

RAID 5 a HDD Has Failed

There's nothing wrong with a software raid either through the OS, or an Intel ICH10 chipset, hardware raid has more benefits but can actually be trickier to maintain. If Intel's raid setup wasn't reliable they also wouldn't include it on boards either... The second part of that is correct, you...

Issue creating RAID 5 array on Asus Z170 Pro with WD 2TB Black drives

Well first the WD blacks are not "officially supported" in raid configuration, that being said I have seen quite a few being used for RAID without issue. Did you notice if it was the same drive dropping each time? If so I would run the WD tools on that drive and make sure it's 100%.
