    Obvious weak link (for gaming) is the GPU but prices are sky high currently. As others mentioned, it depends on what you're using the PC for. If it is indeed gaming, and you're not in a rush, invest the money for 2 years until GPU prices normalize again :ROFLMAO:

    Try booting with a single stick into Windows. If that works, reboot into BIOS, then enable XMP profile. Reboot into windows again and make sure all OK. Finally power down, add second stick and then turn on again.

    Update: there's a configuration option within RGBFusion2.0 called calibration. For some reason they weren't properly calibrated...sorted now.

    Yep, tried using that. Fan is Red when connected to top header. Switch off PC, change header. Check again and now Green. I'm baffled.

    According to this website (https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-gtx-690.c361), the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 draws power from 2x 8-pin power connectors, with power draw rated at 300 W maximum. I could be massively wrong here though so apologises if so!!

    My suggestion for the GPU, if a temp card, would be second hand. GTX 1080 are being sold as low as 200 GBP and still a very strong card for 1080p gaming.
