I'm coming from a gtx 970. Should I get a 1070 now or wait and get an 1170 when they come out?

I have a 29" ultrawide and a second 22" 16:9 screen. I'm getting another 16:9 screen. Can I play games across all 3 screens? I usually play R6S, Ark, and Fifa 17. Is it worth upgrading from my 970 to a 1080 or 1070 to do this? Thanks
