    Having dealt with prior nvidia demand, I would guess that frequent hit and miss ordering (in other words- it will show up available but be sold out again quickly) will start occurring in 4-6 weeks with readily available demand in 8 weeks.

    While I hate wires as much as the next guy, wireless power is just plain old wasting energy. Just give me a standard with the exact same connector on both sides that requires no plug in orientation and things will be fine.

    Yes it should work fine. Intel has done a good job of keeping the ICHxR family fairly portable- especially going up. Going down (due to limitations of raid drive combinations) is another story.
