Okay thanks for the advice!
Just to answer your question my 240 rad is top mounted and exhausting at the top. Is top rad install exhausting the better set up than having it pulling air in?
With the setup i have now is there anything i can do to improve these? Such as removing that rear 120mm exhaust fan? Or even replacing the 3 stock intake fans? Maybe even limiting FPS to 144 rather than unlimited, would that make any difference?
Hey All,
Something ive been racking my head over now and can't seem to find any concrete answers online.
Current spec of new PC

CPU Cooler: Corsair H100x Hydro Series 240mm
RAM: 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5200MHz (2 x 16GB)

Thanks for the swift responses guys. If i could get the cl16 rated ram for similar (probably slightly more expensive) price, do you think it would be worth the hassle of returning and getting a different kit?
Hi Guys
Have just bought the following ram for my r7 3700x: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07D97JWDR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The cas latency is worrying me but i couldn't find anything better at that speed which has a good latency. Do any of you have any...
Purely because of the ryzen sweetspot of 3200-3600 and the fact that they are 3 years old.
Going with the x570 so that if needed i could throw a new ryzen in when they come out.
Thanks for the suggestion. I am a little worried as they are marketing at 3200mhz though. However i am reading good things about them so i'll keep it in mind.
Hi Guys,
i'm currently sitting on this rig:

Motherboard: ASUS Z170 PRO
RAM: Corsair vengeance set to 3000mhz
GPU: Gtx 1070 asus rog strix oc version (Keeping until next gen gpus)
PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 W Gold
Cpu Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Case: NZXT S340 Elite...
Thank you for both of you inputs guys. I did not realise how expensive the I9 was so i guess that is out of the question.
I am now considering it due to the thread counts. Would you say that the i7 9700ks direct competitor is the ryzen 7 3700x ? Im looking for something around this price range.
My bad. Will be used for gaming at 1440p 144hz (where possible). Also will be changing the gpu at a later date to maybe a 2070 super or waiting for the 30 series of gpus to come out. Other parts will be swapped out when needed/necessary.
Hi Guys,
Just a quick question really. Out of the two processors above which one would you go for?
The i7 9700k is relatively cheap at 317 pounds (only slightly more expensive than ryzen 7 3700x sitting at 280-90). Now i haven't kept up with pc parts since i built the current PC im using so...
