on dell 2018 inspiron 5570 laptop and acer r240hy monitor, after installing the acer drivers, was able to extend displays, then the hdd crashed, got new drive from dell and reinstalled windows 10 from dell that came with the new hdd. now the new windows doesn't detect the acer? again I...

thanks for the replies, I will try the shrinking tips, my ssd is 128, 121 usable, as far as partition ssd, I do want have 2 small partitions for a linux install, the root and swap. as far partitioning the remainder of the ssd was thinking like a hdd to separate os/programs/etc from data, also...

I have the standard usb/ide/sata external adapter, but the mhu2100at evidently has 4 pins for connect power which I have not seen before and my external connector does not have an adapter for this. and I don't see anything so far web searching. so ..... how to connect and power this drive...
