Hey guys, recently installed a new power supply, Seasonic Prime 1000 Platinum. On the first start up, I noticed my CPU fans connected to my Corsair H110igt started at full blast. I thought that was odd, but then I noticed a smell, which I thought was the fan. I looked at the waterblock with the...
No errors on memtest86. Super random, but I disabled all audio drivers and so far no crashes when mining. Ill report back in the morning because I didn't have crashes before until i left it running overnight. Hopefully this workaround fixed it but hopefully I can figure out how to get it working...
Every application is different. To find out for sure, do a benchmark with your overclocked settings, reset your clocks and benchmark again. There are dozens of bechmarks and they will all react differently. You can however use userbenchmark and benchmark your cpu and see how it compares to the...
Windows. is notoriously bad at handling HDR, I'm going to guess that's what the issue is here. Sounds like windows is trying to tone map sdr to HDR. Looks like it may be an effect of this windows feature https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/direct2d/hdr-tone-map-effect. Also, this may...
Before I answer the overclock question it is important to know what your CPU is, because it could be a bottleneck for your GPU hence answering the question of what is holding back your GPU. To answer the overclocking question, the first step would be increase the power limit to its maximum, and...
50C is definitely not an issue, you're actually running very cool. Temp shouldn't be a concern until it get's in the upper 80C range. I wouldn't worry at all especially if you haven't messed with the CPU voltages too much.
Try this guide https://www.kapilarya.com/cant-change-screen-resolution-for-second-monitor-in-windows-10. Also, what kind of cable are you using to connect your tvs? You should definitely be able to run the 3 4k monitors since the card is capable of running 8k. You should be using a tested HDMI...
Hey guys, I rarely post on here unless I have gave up on my options as I'm a pretty seasoned computer builder. Anyways, Over the past couple of days, I have had a total of 5 power kernel 41 errors and my computer will just shut off and restart. I have been running the same overclock settings for...
I switched the drives and was able to boot to my new drive after making the old drive inactive using command prompt. After I successfully booted to my new drive, I made the old one active again and formatted it.
Correct, the 970 EVO is first. In fact, if I disable all the other drives and only have the 970 as a boot drive, it WILL NOT boot to the 970 EVO as long as the 960 evo is physically present. I have an asus maximus viii hero motherboard if that matters.
Yes I am able to boot into the 970 EVO by itself, and I am able to change the boot order but im not sure how to make the 960 as non bootable using the ASUS software. I will report back soon.
Hello all, haven't posted in a while since usually am able to figure these types of things on my own, yet this has me stumped. So, I recently cloned my 500 gb 960 evo to a 1TB 970 EVO using a pcie NVME adapter, and got the new one working fine. However, I want to try to format the old one so i...
This is the exact problem i am having as well. I also have windows 10 and an ASUS motherboard. I've tried everything. I've updated my BIOS to the latest version, turned off my overclock, checked temps. All temps seem to be fine. I have also tried restoring to an earlier date, which did not work...
In the ROG BIOS my 3.3V voltage shows as +3.296V, the 5V shows as +5.000, and 12V shows and +12.000V. The voltages are not fluctuating so I don't know if this reading is in real time.
