The speed of the RAM isn't going to really affect whether or not your maxing out your ram. The solution for that issue would be to get more RAM as others have said . Another 16GB should do fine.

Yeah if it doesn't work, your not going to get a whole lot of anything for it. Probably not worth the effort of trying to sell it.

Combined with a good backup strategy (which should be in place anyway) that drive sounds perfectly usable.

For instance the Gigabyte AORUS drives are gen 4 NVMe. As you can see they're rather expensive and as mentioned above, only compatible with particular motherboards. You'll be equaly well served by the WD Black or a Samsung 970.

You could always just wait and get AMD's new 64 core Threadripper when it comes out. I'd hate to know what the price tag is going to be on that one.

I like Unspyable, they're pretty reliable and they're a little cheaper then Nord and Express.

Not unless your budget is big enough to where the price doesn't matter. So since price matters enough for you to ask about it, your probably better off with the 18.

These guys have a pretty good offshore service. I've been using it for a couple years and they've been good enough for me.
