Question Hyper-V Virtual Switch for VPN

Hello. Had a quick question that I was hoping to get answered. I have a server running Windows Server 2016 Datacenter (just a Plex server, but my university has a partnership w/Microsoft and getting a Datacenter key is a perk I suppose haha). At this time, I only have one VM created through...

Yeah, exactly. I bought the system through eBay and didn't find out about the connection until a few months later. Looks like someone below found the answer though. Thanks!

[SOLVED] Need Help Identifying Dell PSU Cable

No, but thank you. It's not a standard SATA power 15-pin connection. I included a link in the original post that has a few pictures on an Imgur post. It appears to be extremely similar to a SATA data cable but has 6 pins instead of 7.

[SOLVED] Need Help Identifying Dell PSU Cable

Hello! Looking to see if someone could help me out. Putting together a Dell Optiplex 7010 for a customer. The optical drive is connected through a SATA data cable and another similar cable stemming straight from the PSU. Unfortunately, the system was received with some damage to this specific...

    Asus AC1900 vs Asus AC2600

Went ahead and grabbed the R7500 and set the Comcast Modem/Router into bridged mode while the new modem comes in. Went around the house with a network analyzer and was getting ~30 Mbps before, and now on the 5Ghz frequency, I'm pulling 120 Mbps wirelessly. Thanks for the information and the...

Looking for new Modem - Is there a reason to go above 16x4

Thanks for the information, guys. It's appreciated. I went ahead and grabbed the 16x4 for $60. I double checked if they supported it and they cleared it. Even if they do increase the speeds, I think the modem will be future proof enough for me. 120 Mbps will be enough for me, let alone the...

Looking for new Modem - Is there a reason to go above 16x4

Can't remember the exact package I pay for with Comcast, but I believe it's ~100 Mbps. Definitely not above 150. I assume an 8x4 will be enough as is, but for $10 more I can get the 16x4 and figured it would be worth it for future proofing just in case speeds increase that much over the next few...

    Asus AC1900 vs Asus AC2600

Quick question - looking to upgrade router for my parents who are still renting theirs from Comcast. They're running on a 2.4Ghz wireless G router and the WiFi is pretty spotty upstairs and on the other side of the house. For now, I just want to upgrade their router before I run cable upstairs...

1080p Gaming PC Build Plans For A Friend

Actually, one more question if you're still around to help @archaic59. Are there any small things I need to remember to order for him? I put down thermal paste, but what about case fans and all the Sata cables? I'm guessing the fans will come with the case and cables with PSU? Is there anything...
