Which one should I get? they're priced very similarly, and specs wise are also very similar. I'm planning to pair it with an i5-12400 and a 1070, 2x8 GB RAM, 1x512 GB NVME and 1 3.5" HDD. I prefer the aesthetics of the DS3H, but which one has the better build quality? and no I do not plan to OC...

Well considering games nowadays are badly optimized you may not be able to max some games. If you're okay with high settings then get a 1060.

I think the CPU won't bottleneck the gtx 1070 except in a few games (watch dogs 2, attila, etc)

Have you considered a 950 Evo ? It's better than the 850 Evo if you're using it for system. You can ditch the HDD and use the 850 Evo for storage instead.

Yes, you can. But since it came with an R7 240, I think you should get a single fan RX 460.

You don't even need to remove your GPU. Just plug the HDMI to your motherboard.

From best to worst : Extreme > G1 > Windforce OC > Windforce The performance is similar between the cards. (1-3 fps) However, the extreme gaming has the best temperature.

Go to task manager > resource monitor and see which process is using your network.

A GTX 1050 / 1050 Ti / RX 460 will be enough. You need to upgrade your RAM though.
