    Question Bright and Colorful Souls-Like?

It may be obvious to you, but it doesn't seem that obvious to all the studios desperately trying to emulate Fromsoftware's iconic game design. Just look at Lies of P - the most recent copy-cat release. I still find your original post funny mainly because it makes zero sense, at least not to me...

    Question Bright and Colorful Souls-Like?

Sorry for reopening this thread but I just thought your post was hilarious. In fact, I'm still wondering if you were actually joking or not... You do realize that everything you don't like about "souls-like" games is EXACTLY what makes them "souls-like"? If you want to play a game that is...

Question No image output after new GPU

Hello, Dany: 1. Could you tell us the name/brand of the GPU? 2. Could you tell us a bit more about your PC? You've replaced the PSU and done testing with other monitors. Since your PC starts but doesn't produce any video it would seem the problem lies with your new GPU, or possibly a RAM...

Question New laptop for my mother ?

"Always gets one from Tesco's". Always?? How often does you mum buy laptops - 2 or 3 times a year? Here's one example from John Lewis: https://www.johnlewis.com/asus-zenbook-flip-13-convertible-laptop-intel-core-i5-processor-8gb-ram-512gb-ssd-13-3-inch-full-hd-touchscreen-pine-grey/p5623562...

[SOLVED] PC Crashing when I try to play most games

2 areas you could investigate: 1. Your 400W PSU is not powerful enough to feed a GTX 2060 card and 3 drives. If the Hitachi drive is unused, then remove it. Gaming nowadays (always online and often multi-player) requires lots of components/peripherals that in turn require lots of PSU power. I...

[SOLVED] Pc turns on but no display

Yes, and you have to make sure it comes with the correct organization (x8 or x16) and DIMM profile (double-sided or single-sided). It's a pain, I know (from personal experience), but with these older Intel chipsets there really is no way around it. Example from the "Tested Memory" section: The...

    Question Lightweight laptop needed

It seems the biggest challenge is your requirements that the device should weigh under 3lbs AND offer battery life over 12 hours. The only laptop I could find that comes even close is this $1,475 ThinkPad X1 Carbon...

[SOLVED] Pc turns on but no display

    1. Intel's H61 chipset typically supports 1066/1333 MHz modules. There's only 1 version (H61AGL) that supports 1600MHz and judging by your current problems your MB isn't that version. 2. This means you will have to get a RAM module that conforms with these requirements...

Question My pc do not start untill I reset my ram...

    1. I assume you're using 2 2GB RAM modules. How are they seated (X - X - X - X)? 2. My initial reaction is that the CPU needs new thermal paste. Something is building up, and after a few hours the fans go crazy: Could be the CPU overheating because of old and ineffective thermal paste. 3. When...

Question PC crashing to desktop or restarting ?

Even if it's brand-new, a 650W PSU is still on the low side for modern gaming. You did say yourself that the problems occurred when you moved to more demanding games. And the Arctic II 360 cooler only strains the PSU even further. I really recommend that you invest in, at least, an 850W PSU.

Question Screen goes Black and fans go at full speed

Almost forgot: You said that you get the PSU-related error message today? Even though the RM850 may be from September 2020 and so fairly new, it does sound like it's not working properly. Can you borrow a PSU from a friend? (Just to eliminate that potential issue). About the RAM seating...

Question PC crashing to desktop or restarting ?

... and while you're looking for new RAM modules, you might also consider a more powerful PSU; 650W is a bit on the low side for modern gaming. And speaking of RAM: What clock-speed are you running the modules at? Before investing in new RAM you could try to alter the clock-speed until you...

Question Screen goes Black and fans go at full speed

What is the name/brand of the web cam, and how does it connect to your PC? How much RAM do you have, and how are the modules seated (X - X - X - X)? What do you use the PC for (gaming, web surfing, etc)?

[SOLVED] Intel DH67CL not taking my compatible memory.

How many RAM modules are you using? How are the modules seated (X - X - X - X)? You may have seen this document already, but here it is again: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006826/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards.html Cheers, GreyCatz.

Question No display and keyboard not working ?

Hello DrummerBoy, No display and 1 beep usually mean RAM issues: a) Have you tried booting with only 1 2GB RAM module (as suggested by Nuwan Fernando above)? b) Your RAM setup is a bit odd, and possibly the cause of your problems. I count a total of 12GBs of RAM. How are the modules seated...
