Thank you! Now with 4 dimms installed (2+8+8+2) with one dimm in the first black slot it detects 20gb of ram nicely. I thought that any ram slot would work under any circumstances like with more traditional dual channel boards. Thanks again

So i got this motherboard/cpu/ram bundle for really cheap and it came with 3x8gb (24gb in total) The black dimm slots do not work, 1,2 or 3 sticks, doesn't matter Now the thing is, if i put one ram in the orange slots which work and then put the other one in the black, the pc WILL post, but only...

i did a stress test of the ram and the cpu and it maxed out at 62.9, so not even 3 degrees difference

What is max safe chipset temperature? I have some old Biostar TF560 A2+ mb with the nforce 560 chipset which is hot no matter what. I changed the thermal paste and put a side fan to the case side panel and there is some improvement (before it was around 70c, now its below 60 for the most part)...

I have a MSI PH61-P33 motherboard which stopped working all of a sudden. The last time it worked, i was testing a power supply with it and it was fine until now. It gives absolutely NO signs of life, the fans don't even spin the slightest bit. Here are all the things i've tried so far...

i thought that the socket was damaged, checked twice but nope, every pin is as it should be. I also checked for damaged traces leading to the slots and everything was ok there as well The funny thing is, while searching for solutions , i saw that quite a few people had problems with this...

no, but this is an rog motherboard... It should do more. i had a gigabyte motherboard with the same chipset but worse vrm and it ocd fine from 1.8ghz to 2.7... this wont do anything at all

I wanted to test out my old pc,and i didn't notice the voltage switch was at 115v instead of 230.The psu turned on,made weird noise and it was smoking a bit with a smell of burnt plastic.After i switched it back to 230v,it was working completely fine.can someone explain,how did it survive this...

When i tested my new pc for stability,i noticed that the 2200G doesn't stay at 3.7ghz (3692.6 mhz to be correct) all the time.It runs at 3.7 for about 30 seconds more or less and then the multiplier switches from 37 to 36.75 and then it gets back at 3.7 for a moment and goes back down to 3.65ghz...
