    [SOLVED] Unexplained App Slowdowns

Yep, I have, my CPU has been spiking sometimes, but usually I can isolate why. Sometimes Discord will start using up an unusual amount of CPU power, but that's usually fixed by relaunching the app. The temperature on the CPU is more than fine, hanging around 32°C. Everything else the guy above...

    [SOLVED] Unexplained App Slowdowns

I wasn't sure where to post this because, quite honestly, I have no idea what the cause of this issue could be. Feel free to move it elsewhere. I have a custom-built PC that is a few months old, top-of-the line components such as an i9, 32 gig ram, SSD... Everything but the graphics card (GTX...

[SOLVED] Internet Keeps Cutting Out, Only a Reboot Will Fix It

I have a new custom built computer that's a couple months old. Nearly everything in it is brand new, and aside from a few hiccups along the way, it's been running great so far. This changed recently, however, when all of a sudden my internet started to randomly cut out when I'm using it. Every...

[SOLVED] New PC Suffers from Long Load Times and CPU Spikes

Yeah I've always known it eats up a lot of memory, just surprised it would affect app launch times and CPU usage (for other apps, no less) as well. Assuming that was what was causing it. Crossing my fingers and hoping that that the issue doesn't persist.

[SOLVED] New PC Suffers from Long Load Times and CPU Spikes

I'll look into that. By the way, is it possible that perhaps the copy of Chrome that I just uninstalled was suffering from some sort of memory leak issue that was affecting everything else? That's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

[SOLVED] New PC Suffers from Long Load Times and CPU Spikes

I should also note that I did reboot the computer too, and reboots have fixed some of the problems I mentioned earlier, but only temporarily. If it were an I/O controller problem, would a reboot be able to temporarily fix it, or would it just consistently act up?

[SOLVED] New PC Suffers from Long Load Times and CPU Spikes

Okay so after changing my default browser to Microsoft Edge, I realized that links from other apps launched quickly on it with no delay, so I decided to reinstall Chrome. Seems to have worked (for now anyway). That one game still launches slow, gonna try to test out a couple other games from...

[SOLVED] New PC Suffers from Long Load Times and CPU Spikes

Yeah, the BIOS actually had to be flashed in order to be compatible with my i9 (got some help for that, I don't have UPS and I'm not one to tempt fate), so everything should be up to date.

[SOLVED] New PC Suffers from Long Load Times and CPU Spikes

I wasn't really sure where to post this, so I decided to go with the Windows 10 section. Feel free to move this thread if it's in the wrong place. Anyway, I recently finished building my new PC; it has an Intel Core i9 9900K processor, 32 gigs of ram, an ASUS TUF Z390-Plus Gaming motherboard, a...

Question Cryorig R1 Mounting Screw Came Loose on Mounting Bracket

You mean take the motherboard out of the case and install it? That may be possible. I do recall there being a wide enough opening on the other side of the case, so I could probably remove it without much issue. One thing I do worry about, however, is without the motherboard being screwed into...

Question Cryorig R1 Mounting Screw Came Loose on Mounting Bracket

Alright, so first off, here is a Cryorig R1 Dual Tower CPU fan: Now, here is the little screw hole on back of the metal bit that goes on top of the CPU: Here's the bracket that goes on top of the metal bit. Those big screws on the sides are to secure it to some brackets I secured to the...

Question Cryorig R1 Mounting Screw Came Loose on Mounting Bracket

I'm building a new PC, first time I've ever built one from scratch. I'm nearly finished but I've ran into a couple snags. One is that I may have bent some of the pins in the CPU socket (gonna have a friend help me out to see if it's salvageable) but the other—which I think is probably what lead...

SSD Troubles, Not Sure if Compatbile with System

My BIOS version dates back to 2012, while the latest version for this motherboard is from 2014. Do you think flashing the BIOS could make a difference at all? Would rather not do it unless I have to. And even though I have yet to try any other type of SSD with this system, I'm already starting...

SSD Troubles, Not Sure if Compatbile with System

Awhile ago I decided to buy a solid state drive for my computer. The drive I bought was a SanDisk Ultra 3D SDD, 1TB. I bought it with the intention of migrating my Windows 10 OS and all the files on my old hard drive (which is going on five years old) to a new hard drive. After plugging it in...
