What type of VC do you have? How long has it been in use and how much use has it gotten? I have had driver crashes before on several VCs none were due to viruses but other issues.

What you are talking about could be what they call "artifacting". If you have updated the drivers it could be a sign that your VC is dieing. How old is your machine and how much use has it gotten?

Thank you for the response. I have run memtest with no errors. You are saying that the problems could be from installing drivers before the Windows updates? Are Windows updates in Windows 7 necessary? Jb
