Have you checked your cpu temps? When I had that cooler the fan would get loose and make noises like what you described. I would check the fans and when you put the new cpu in did you move around anything else?

Since the VRM is damaged I’m guess the voltages can’t work correctly for the cpu not to overheat

So did some research and yup most definitely was my backplate being on wrong. Don’t have the specs for my psu just know it’s a 750 watt. It’s a lot to take out. I’m checking for a B550 chipset now.
