I didn't notice this at first but it looks like my fans don't run at all until they go max speed. I downloaded the software you mentioned and the fans go max speed once the hotspot hits 100C. Do you know how I'd go about fixing this

Didn't realize the mobo wasn't in there. I have an msi one and I've tried both precision x and msi afterburner

I've had this problem for a long time and can't seem to find a fix for it. I have an EVGA 2080 Black edition gpu and for some reason the second the gpu hits around 70-72 degrees it goes full blast until temps drop. But once the fans slow down it goes straight back to 70 so it's a constant cycle...

It's been happening long before I had both software downloaded. Also, when I tried using msi afterburner after precision wasn't fixing anything I reset the settings and reboot anyway since I don't OC my gpu.

ya, it seems like it will follow the curve until the fans are around 46% then won't change until the gpu hits 70 and then go to max speed. Msi afterburner and precision x1 both show the fans at 46% speed even when they ramp up to max speed.
