He means that you processor wil bottleneck in a couple of stupidly CPU conssuming games, but those are usually due to poor coding so... XD

Gigabyte G1 gaming (if you want to OC) is the best, without OC, MSI due to a bit more silence (fans stop while under 60º)

Indeed, my Gtx 970 was crashing even with chrome and firefox, that driver solved it

Change the thermal paste for a good one, should help a lot (still, stock coolers suck man)

Mi G1 gaming is sitting at 1524 core clock and 1900 memory clock, max temp after 30 min of benchmark is aroun 71º. (+30mv in afterburner)

I just can say that my i7 920 oc 3,8 with my gigabyte g1 gtx 970 plus 12 gb t-channel gives mee 10600 in that test.... so something is really wrong...

Better the bigger one, better refrigeration = a bit more performance (2-3%) and can be overclocked more (which gives even more performance.

In the op he is thinking to buy it, so if he doesn't already have it, to the OP, the G1 and the MSI already have the connector included.

My gigabyte G1 gaming already have in the box 2 adapters, (like your first image, 1 for 8 pin and another for 6)
