raid is a completely separate thing. there is ide, sata, ide raid, and sata raid. it doesn't really matter if you pick ide or sata at the moment.

You can also map one drive to a directory on another. Like C:\stuff could be the second drive. Control panel -> adminitrative tools -> computer management is where you would find it I believe.
