Question Explorer.exe in constant crash restart loop

I had already paused the updates for a couple of weeks, and I believe the maximum you can pause for is 30 days. So it will only let me pause it for another 2 weeks and then the update will just install anyway.

Question Explorer.exe in constant crash restart loop

Hi hoping someone might be able to help. I recently installed the latest MS updates, and after rebooting my PC and logging back in, explorer crashed after a few seconds, then restarted and continued in this loop every few seconds. After doing some investigation I've found that the update...

Question Help me choose a Ryzen 7 3800x board

I've still not been able to get started with this yet nearly 2 months on. But coming back to this now I decided to just go with what I know and what familiar with which is Asus, so I was pretty much set on getting the ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING, but then I came across this issue with the Intel...

Question Help me choose a Ryzen 7 3800x board

I've only ever had one Asrock board before and it wasn't great, but then again I didn't build the PC and I bought if off eBay, so not really a good comparison. I noticed Extreme4 has an 8+4 socket for the CPU power, will it run with just the 8 pin connected?

Question Help me choose a Ryzen 7 3800x board

I've not looked at the Edge so I'll check it out, the Tomahawk is certainly within my price range, but I just wasn't sure if it was overkill for my usage. I've noticed it's a board that gets recommended quite a bit on here. With regards to AM4 support on the boards, one of the features I looked...

Question Help me choose a Ryzen 7 3800x board

I'm happy for someone to convince me otherwise on Asus boards, I'm only basing my decision on what I keep seeing. My own experience with Asus boards has always been very good, the board I run now H97-Plus has been a good board, I've not had a single issue with it. It just seems that whilst I've...

Question Help me choose a Ryzen 7 3800x board

I'm planning a new Ryzen 7 3800x build and I've narrowed it down to the boards below which best suit my needs in terms of features/connectivity, but as I'm not overclocking is there really any vast differences in these boards that would make you choose one over the others, or would you just go...

To give you a bit of background I'm currently running a core i5 4690 on an Asus H97-Plus board with 16gb ram and a nVidia GTX 750 ti, Originally when I built this 6 years ago I only had 8gb ram and an older GPU . The GPU was upgraded probably about 4 years ago and the ram about 2 years ago...

    [SOLVED] x570 Recommendations

Hi, I'm planning a new Ryzen 7 3700x build and I was originally planning on using an Asus x570-P mobo but when researching the board I keep reading a lot about high failure rates for this board. So now I'm wondering if perhaps I should reconsider my decision. I've been looking at these...

    [SOLVED] Corsair TX550M

I'm looking at using the Asus Prime x570-P, I'm not overclocking at all, but from doing a bit of research online it seems to be a bit hit and miss with some boards whether they will actually power up if you just connect the 8 pin CPU connection.

    [SOLVED] Corsair TX550M

Hi, I'm currently planning a new build and I was looking at the Corsair TX550M PSU as it seemed to meet my needs, but the mobo I'm using requires an 8 pin and 4 pin connection for the CPU, so when I tried putting this into the PC Partpicker website it through up a warning saying the PSU doesn't...
