I was just putting the info out there since I forgot to include it in the OP. But what I'm mainly wondering about is why disabling GDM would cause my PC to power off when I put it in sleep mode? No other problems other than that.

Well, here's the thing, as it says in the article, GDM off is beneficial with a 1T command rate... Which I also have.

So I just disabled Gear Down Mode on my RAM in the process of trying to improve performance. I am going to move on to trying to tighten timings, but there's a problem when I turned off GDM. Every time I put my computer to sleep, it is either already powered off by the time I come back to it, or...

Yeah when I used a PSU calculator, and I put everything in and put the cpu at 100% TDP it said that max load was 609 W, with a recommendation of 650W power supply. I just didn't know if maybe someone had experience with a 3900x or similar on a 650W PSU and if it would be throttled at all. Idk

Right, but if I'm running a 3900x out of the box, do you think I'll run into problems with the psu? Or do you think 650W is enough, considering I actually have a decent psu haha Edit: wording
