How to Enjoy Some Favorite Games

Dear Community, I am a Cybersecurity major at University of Cincinnati, and as we deal with computer specs. and modular appliances on the regular, my eyes are starting to glaze over looking at PC configurations when planning to buy a new PC. I need a new computer for work, but also pleasure - I...

    Can HDD use 6 gb/sec?

There is absolutely no reason not to use the SATA 3 cable in the SATA 2 slot: they are backwards compatible. If this were the opposite scenario, we might be recommending you buy a new cable, but please save your paycheck on this one! In short: no reason to spend money on different (older) cables.

    i need gpu help

The Geforce 970 would indeed be an excellent choice, and is one of the best values on the market for speed and performance. Given the specifications, and the fact that the user is not currently employing something powerful, I was recommending the 750ti to meet the minimum specified requirements...

    i need gpu help

A next step, without breaking the bank, would be the GeForce 750 ti. This is a well-reviewed card that can run 1080p at a standard frame rate without needing a PSU connection (note that your PSU must provide at least 600w, however.) This card is just slightly underpowered for 60fps at 1080p...

Computer not displaying Video through Nvidia GPU or Motherboard Graphics.

I just recently had this experience when upgrading my Linux GeForce driver: it is an imperfect installation of the driver. In order to reinstall in this situation, because you have effectively ruined your GPU driver, you need to remove the GPU and totally reset your Motherboard (Factory Reset)...

My monitor won't display anything anymore? (switched cases)

When totally disassembling your PC, the uninstallation of your GPU may have triggered the Motherboard to first be looking for a direct connection to the Monitor. Plug your computer directly into the monitor via the output on the board, and see if it is displaying through this port.

    The monitor doesn't show anything

If you are using a GPU, you need to first connect the monitor directly to your motherboard on startup. The preset is going to use the basic onboard graphics until you select the proper GPU settings. With just one GPU, make sure it is in the first PCIe slot and you have selected x16 in the bios...

    My Monitor Problem

I would like to presume that this monitor is not just being used for "gaming." I need to call this out because it is part of the solution: bear with me. The issue you are having is because you are interrupting the connection your GPU (whether built-in or a separate card) has with your monitor...

    AMD and Quad-Channel RAM

Ever since the arrival of X99 motherboards, almost every message board has been dominated by "Can my AMD do that too?" Q&A's. Brace yourselves, this is another of those questions: I have been, for some time, tempted to give AMD a chance to win my paycheck and build an experimental...

To keep or not to keep: GeForce 750ti Superclocked 2gb

Hey everyone, I got the card listed above, Geforce 750ti GPU overclocked and wondered if it is worth keeping even though I have an Intel i3-4370. The onboard graphics seem comparable since it is fourth generation. My setup is: Asus Maximus VI Impact Intel i3-4370 Corsair Dominator GT 2ghz...

Hearing audio from TV signal through PC Speakers

You will need to leave the yellow cable (video) connected to your television set while getting adapters for your White and Red audio leads for the L/R speakers. You can find such 3.5 Jack adapters like the one below at Best Buy, Radioshack, etc. as well...

Will using a Xeon processor with 4-way GPU be more effective as a workstation?

I'm currently into video and graphic design and looking to set up a multi-display, multi-gpu (4-way Crossfirex) system for some serious number-crunching: time to empty the wallet and upgrade! :na: I am currently set up with a Asus Z87-WS Motherboard, which has a lot of power with the Z87 chip...
