I fixed the problem. I was using a power cable from my old PSU thinking it was compatible with my new one. Found a cable that came with my new PSU and it is working fine now. Still a noob after all :(. Cheers for the help guys! Sorry for the inconvenience .

Hello, I recently purchased a MX500 SSD and it is not being recognised in windows, I can't find it in BIOS or disk management. I've tried it in other SATA ports and cables and still nothing. Thanks in advance.

I will uninstall updates around the same time the problem first occurred (mid May - Jun) and then give that a week. If it does reappear I'll re-install windows again, might be a while before I give an update. Thanks for the help.

Auto updates is definitely turned off. Windows did install updates recently but nothing seems out of the ordinary. Maybe I'll re-install windows.

Unfortunately the problem came back. It lasted for 4 days before coming back and then re-appeared again after 2 days. I have no idea what's causing it.

Thanks for the reply, I guess I removed all previous versions of the driver when I uninstalled the device because the option to roll back is disabled. I just installed the old drivers from a disk that came with my motherboard and disabled automatic driver updates. Since the problem re-occurs...

Couldn't you just over clock the slowest one to match the higher one's?
