z690 offers Overclocking (only for K cpus), double the pci-e lanes for storage (both on gen3 and gen4) and more usb ports. As a rule of thumb, if you don't get a K cpu, don't bother with z690 unless their price overlap (some b660 are pricey too)

You want to "future proof" your gpu if you want to game with it. If gaming is not an option (only browsing, Netflix etc) ANY cheap gpu can push even 4k for as long as it is receiving electricity.

Make sure Nvidia's Shadow Play is not enabled. This will keep your gpu slightly occupied even on idle, waiting for you to record anything. Disable it
