Okay, switched to single rail and will see if it happens again.

two cables, 3x 8pin slots. Both are daisy chain cables, but obviously only using one plug on one of the cables. Corsair link is active and it looks like it was set to multi rail mode. Which should I be using?

No, all the original cables. I've reseated them multiple times as well to ensure a good connection

Don't have any within borrowing range, so it would be buying one and returning it if it still happens lol

Sorry forgot to say that. Temps are stable, at max load neither the GPU or CPU go above about 70 degrees. I've had it happen while playing games, I've also had it while just sat browsing the internet with nothing in the background.

Considering that the issue has happened twice, once with an official battery and now with a unofficial, it doesn't really point to it being the battery. Which is why I was asking. Neither times it did this was any battery degradation noticed before it died. In my experience batteries die slowly...
