    127.1.1.1 = loop back address. Is ip address "171.1.1" Your gateway/router IP? Does your computer have a valid ip address? What OS is your Computer? In windows it is very common to get an IP address of "169.x.x.x", This is an invalid Ip address and ping will no work.
