Try using a PS2 keyboard. They are dirt cheap. Try second hand or even borrow one from a friend.

So you want to do a clean reinstall of Windows on the laptop? Why don't you create a bootable disk either on a USB or on a CD.

The ports are for specific inputs. One for mic and the other for head/earphones. There is nothing that you can do to fix this as the specific ports only read the dedicated input device.

YOur PSU does come with molex. Molex is mostly used for fans. Some fans don't even come with molex anymore.

When the game starts up, press Alt+Enter. That will put the game into windowed mode.

May be a faulty hard drive. I know you said it's new, but there may be a chance it doesn't read or write properly.
