[SOLVED] 1440p - not for gaming

Thanks :) I am worried about the imperfect up-scaling issues I have been reading about. Did I not understand it correctly? As the resolutions are not dividable (to an integer). About the high refresh rate (my laptop), it feels very smooth when going back to 60Hz now, so I am just accustomed to...

Question 60hz vs 75hz Monitor Refresh Rate Question.

Thanks Andy, everything is 100% OK, it's probably the difficulty to pass the whole intention and "tonation" through a fast written reply (as happens to me and others many times with phone messaging also). Hope you will get your answers shortly!

Question 60hz vs 75hz Monitor Refresh Rate Question.

Well as nobody answered (yet), I thought to put my two cents. I might be getting this monitor, so I hope it won't have the dead pixels problem. BTW I didn't understand your 1st question, maybe some others don't too (so maybe rephrase, the clearer the easier to read and answer)

Question 60hz vs 75hz Monitor Refresh Rate Question.

AOC 24G2 seems like about 12W consumption, and it's a great monitor (budget gaming grade) Edit: the official spec is 21W, the 12.2W is from Hardware Unboxed YT channel testing. (About the response times, I don't know, don't have enough experience.)

[SOLVED] 1440p - not for gaming

Hello! If I don't game much, but I want a sharp monitor for text (Word, coding, notepad), browsing, and watching 1080p movies and Youtube Will i benefit from a 1440p monitor, or will it cause more trouble than benefit? (I don't want a 4K monitor as I like high refresh rate for daily...

[SOLVED] I get 50-70fps on my games using 60hz monitor, Is there a difference if i upgrade my monitor to 144hz?

Not a pro here. I don't know if for gaming it will make a difference (maybe only when frames go above 60, and if max is 75fps, I have no experience of that change) (maybe other factors like response time will make a different experience) but for daily use of Windows, it will feel smoother. But...

    Question 27" 1440p 144hz IPS Freesync vs 24" 1080p 144hz IPS Freesync

OP, what a great way to right a question thread, loved the division into sections. I am also looking into the same issue almost exactly. Does anybody have more ideas? Sharp non-grainy monitor, for text, for movies, and for games. Will a 1440p NOT produce a good picture for 1080p movies, or for...

Question Gigabyte Aero 15-x9 vs Acer Triton 500?

Hello there! Did you buy one of them already? I can write only about the battery life, according to what I read/reasearched. The Aero battery is supposed to be very good, and better than the Triton. I don't know about the other specs though.

    Hello :)

Question 40-pin video connector to HDMI

Thanks for the reply getochkn! It does have, this is what I want to "adapt" to a 40-pin input. I don't want to use an exernal monitor (with HD input port) as I want the laptop to be portable. So I want to use an exernal laptop screen, but which has a 40-pin input port (I think I need to connect...
