Help with choosing processor for mini ITX build

What are you looking to use it for?

My PC wont boot with ''new'' GPU but will with older one

The brand of the PSU would be helpful. Although even a shitty 650W is good enough for a GTX 960 considering that you said it could run a 6850 just fine...

    What graphic card is this?

Well the title of that picture says it's a GTX 460 which makes sense looking at the lack of Display Port. Looking at the picture, it also has a HDMI port so if you have a HDMI-compatible TV you should be able to test it out.

    $4000-$4500 budget build

Before people go ham building $5K dream builds I've got one question. You've put down your Region, State/Country as "HK", which I take is Hong Kong, so is the build you're looking for $4000-$5000 HK or $4000-$5000 US because there's quite a decent difference between the two. Edit: Don't listen...

are all i3 the same size?

Motherboard pin layouts (sockets) and chipsets change from generation to generation, so you would have to buy a motherboard compatible with your specific i3. If you tell us the full name we should able to give you which chipset and socket it's compatible with. Edit: Added Words

I need some help with the specifications of this desktop PC

For the games you've listed, it's fine. I've never heard of or seen that specific model of the i3, but it's Skylake and clocked at 3.6Ghz, so should be quite a charm at even some heavier games. i3s really aren't as bad as they're made out to be, especially when it comes to gaming as the...

First time builder PC won't boot

Does the system turn off when it fails to POST or just not turn on at all? It could be a RAM related issue as Menelaos1996 said, but the Red indicator doesn't really seem to fit that.

    Replace ati r9 290?

It would be great if you could provide more information... Firstly, What's your budget? Secdondly, What kind of performance are you looking for? Thirdly, Any other constraints? I could just tell you to buy 2x GTX 1080s in an SLI Config or go as low as just telling you to buy a GTX 970 with the...

Can anything get in the way of the graphics card on the motherboard when installing?

Looking at that picture, the graphics card shouldn't interfere with anything on the board. The Chipset (the part you've got circled) should be able to clear the well below the card.

Mozilla Wants FBI To Disclose Possible Firefox Vulnerability

I read the title as "FBI asks Mozilla to disclose possible Firefox vulnerability" and was like, "Damn FBI always looking for thos vulnerabilities"

$1000 AUD PC build Including Nvidias new GTX 1070

You might be able to squeeze a PC with a 1070 into that budget if you buy an i3, if you only spend $150 - $200 on RAM, motherboard, HDD/SSD and a PSU. You can't really put together anything worthwhile with a GTX 1070 with that kind of budget and you'd actually be better off drooping the 1070 for...

Old GTX 275 or newer GT 730 ???

$80 for a GTX 275 would be far too much. My friend is willng to give me a 660 for that much and after some research that's the average price in my area.

Can My PC Run After Effects

The CPU and GPU are decent to 'RUN' it, but if you want any real performance you should look at getting more RAM - 4GB is a minimum. Of course don't expect to render flashy animations really quickly, but for basic animations if you upgrade to 4GB or 8GB it should be fine.

    Cheapest CPU Upgrade

The X4-860K would be a solid upgrade and would work with your current motherboard. Edit: Found it on Newegg for £53: http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113379 You should be able to get it for around that price somewhere in the UK.
