    Question RAID/BIOS Issues

My friend accidentally (idk how) set up RAID 0 with a 500gb ssd and a 1tb SSD. He wanted to add a 1tb m.2 nvme drive but he could not get into BIOS. I recommended removing the CMOS battery but when he tried to turn on the computer, he couldn't get his system to respond from the keyboard and it...

Question Might be bios, might be unknown

Check PCI-e slot: no bent pins. I know this because I have tried the same thing on two different motherboards of the same model (b450 tomahawk) it doesn’t have dual bios. Gpu is a gigabyte gtx 1080 windforce. I will try resetting the bios but I’m not exactly sure how to be honest. I’ll look at...

Question Might be bios, might be unknown

I recently changed from i5-6600k to r5 3600 and kept the same graphics card. I install everything and update the bios and it starts working properly. I try to change my cooler and realize I don't have the proper bracket so I change back to the stock cooler. This is when my graphics card stops...

    Question Display issues

If I plug in HDMI after I turn on the computer, There’s no display from my computer at all, it’s just the monitor that says “no signal” and then goes to sleep. Otherwise, the monitor just stays asleep.

    Question Display issues

My computer turns on, keyboard and mouse light up, mobo lights up. The monitor does display a message clearly so there’s no dead pixels or anything. I recently replaced my z170+i5-6600k with a b450 tomahawk + r5 3600 and everything worked fine. I switched the cooler but realized I didn’t have...

Question Low fps on Geforce GTX 1050

Another thing to look at is making sure the power cable from PSU to your gpu is correct. Sometimes when parts don't get enough power they don't perform right.

[SOLVED] AMD cpu cooling, no OC

My ram is ddr4-3000mHz, I don't think I need an upgrade but if you think that more than 3000 is necessary for the new amd set then I might as well. I bought that way back in 2016.

Build Advice New PC Build time! Looking for suggestions / advice. AMD 3900x - Nvidia 2080TI

My only concern is this: if you can afford a 2080ti and a 3900x, why limit yourself to 1080p? These parts will be able to handle at least 1440p if not 4k EXTREMELY well. From what I've seen, the x470 should be your best bet to try to 'future proof' your build. Like I said, if you can afford...

Question Low fps on Geforce GTX 1050

Double check your settings, drivers, and game settings. I've never used AMD before, but Nvidia can optimize your games to best fit your GPU through their app: Gefore Experience. It also depends on what games you play. The 1050 is starting to become outdated and 2gb of vram is not a whole lot. It...

[SOLVED] AMD cpu cooling, no OC

I currently run i5 6600k on a z170 with a 1080 8gb, 16gb ram, and 550 Watts. I need to upgrade my cpu and AMD seems to have totally knocked it out of the park with their new 3xxx series. Making the switch from intel to amd obviously means a new mobo, but I'm not so fluent in AMD chipsets and...
