Well it turns out my SSD had become disconnected which had my OS on it. As soon as I plugged it back in everything started up as normal. I don't think I really need to fix the spdif out pin so will probably leave it.🆒

Just looked at some of the 1050s and you know one of them might actually do the trick. The ti model seems like it's certainly capable of handling the witcher 3 and will do for my other needs as well.
