lol, i thought it was me. just got the 1080ti and medium/high settings with the sharpness tool on 1440p struggles to get me over 80fps. still love this game. i hope they add bikes, trucks, pick-ups etc twat would be awesome

True true, but its still worth waiting for the omen x 35. I just saw an x34a for 990€. That pricd will drop even more once there is more competition. And once the 1080ti comes out you might find a good deal on a 1080. Also, i've heard a 980ti is more or less identical to a 1070 an will get you...

Hey same situation as you. Im gonna wit till march. Then we will finally get a proper review of the omen x 35 ( VA panel with quantum dot ) im no fan of va, but if there is no ghostong and colours are as crisp as they claim.. it also has a 2500:1 contrast radio and supposedly no backlight...

I dont think 4k is the new standard yet. But i agree thay 1440p might become the new 770p. Thats why im waiting for that new pg27uq... the pg348q was almost my new monitor but i chickened out. There is a risk that within 2 years nobody will be buying 1440p screens anymore.

YES! That is exactly my feeling! Gpu's will come and go and every newer series will be 30% faster. BUT gaming monitors are in a slipstream right now. There is so much new tech thundering our way! This tech exists, and soon we will have it in 1 screen: -4k -quantum dot -high refresh rates -gsync...

High refresh rate would be good for you considering the games you play. 21:9 is considered to be very cool for gaming. ( look on the internet for 21:9 problems before you decide ) 21:9 high refresh rate panels arent too cheap though...

I think its down to r&d cost. A lot of people want ( and pay for ) 4k. Including television market and now console gamers. The only people that want high refresh rates are pc- gamers, meaning costs need to be spread over fewer people. Same thing with 21:9 screens, its niche so you pay a lot for...

So there is no real benefit to +60hz if you play offline rpg games? A lot of people talk about smoother gameplay but that is always about competetive gaming.

Curved is only worth it above 30" in my opinion. Get a non-curved and save some money...
