As the title describes, im not sure if the mobo will bottleneck or even out right work will the cpu. Im on the newest BIOS and i know amd said all AM4 boards will work but i remember something happening a little bit ago when they changed that statement.

A buddy of mine has 8gb of ddr3 ram in his build and i have a spare 8gb stick of ddr3l that i want to give to him. Can he use both sticks together?

I deleted ryzen master before posting this and it didnt change anything. I tried to reinstall it but i keep getting a windows error saying i cant.

OK thanks and this is a side problem and i dont know if its my mobo or my cpu but i have my 1700 clocked at 3.8ghz base, but sometimes with i boot my pc it sets my cpu turbo clock to 1.55. I dont know why this is happening and i would appreciate any help.

I have tried to oc my ram several times now and nothing is working. I tried using xmp and manually doing it and nothing works. My ram is 16gb(8x2) trident z 3200 memory. Timings are 16-18-18-38. I dont know what to do im stuck. The memory is stuck at 1054mhz. Any help would be much appreciated/

So im going to go with the build i put together. Not cause i want to be right or whatever just because i think its the best for this situation. As the title says, which should i get? I know that the 1080 is a objectively better but i dont know if that extra 50 bucks or so is gonna be worth it. Im thinking of getting the 1080 for the future proofing. Id also hate to buy a 1080 and then the new gpus are launched.

What games specifically? And did you just update drivers? Anything new installed?

I believe I had something similar and what helped, as crazy as it sounds, was to reseat the card. Maybe also try to turn off background processes. Good luck to you

I've reinstalled the game several times and have looked into everything. I seem to be of the select few dealing with this problem tho. It just doesn't make sense that I can run Rainbow Six Siege at 1440p on high detail and still get a solid 70 fps. I think it might be a serious engine problem
