Hey so I am building a new PC around the 3080 and since it is looking more than likely that Intel is the better CPU to pair with the card I am thinking of getting an Intel CPU. Unless 1440p benchmarks come out and show that there is no difference between Ryzen and Intel at that resolution I will...
Hey Guys,
I am about to build myself a brand new gaming pc (super excited) just waiting for the Ampere launch and things should start to get in motion.
However, not sure what to do about my monitor. I am aiming to get a 3080 so am definitely looking at upgrading from my current 1080p 144hz...
Yeah I guess no one really knows exactly how the Ampere launch is going to turn out and what it might mean. I think I am going to just wait and see before I make any major buying decisions. That seems to be the safest course of action.
But thanks a tonne for your input, really appreciate it!
Yeah probably worth going for 3100 then.
I might just wait and see what happens with benchmarks and see if PCIe 3 vs 4 actually makes a difference. If it doesn't I might go Intel considering this is just a gaming PC.
Thanks for your input ! Appreciate it.
I wanted to go with a 3100 since like you said it won't be used for long, however, I thought that would be too much of a bottleneck considering a 3080.
Hi Guys,
So I am building a new gaming PC with the upcoming Ampere GPU's (likely getting a 3080 - depending on price) however, since they are more than likely going to use PCIe 4.0 I would prefer to use a platform that can take advantage of it (maybe not right away but possibly in the future)...
Hey Guys,
So I am building a PC and going all out as this will be my only build for many years to come. I recently just ordered an Intel i9-10900K as I figured that this is only a gaming rig, I may as well get the best of the best for my use case. I snapped up the 10900K as stock is hard to...
Hey Guys,
I am building a new PC very soon (just waiting for Ampere to release) and am having trouble deciding on my CPU cooler, so I was hoping for a good recommendation.
I will be cooling a 10900K inside a Phanteks P500A. I would prefer to use an AIO as I like the look. It doesn't have to...
I will be cooling a 10900K with maybe a slight overclock to an all core 5.1 or 5GHZ (Depending what I am able to do) and the GPU will be a 3080 or whatever the equivalent is.
Just wondering what is ideal for a 360mm AIO. Currently looking at using the Coolermaster MasterLiquid ML360R unless someone recommends anything else.
If I mounted top I would have the fans exhausting and if front they would be intake obviously.
Also, would be mounted in a Phanteks P500A FYI...
Any recommendations on CPU AIO then?
Sorry for being stupid/a hassle I just haven't built a PC in quite some time, so don't really know what products I should go for.
Also don't want to make a mistake with the CPU cooler as it is a very important component, especially with the 10900K...
