So, I've reinstalled Realtek fully. Nahimic is also re-enabled, and the delay is still there. If I go in and kill all running instances of Nahimic when I reboot, the delay drops to 2-3 seconds.

Give that a shot when I get home today. It's evolved so that the speakers now work, but the delay is back.

Are we talking the driver on the motherboard, Realtek, or something else? I have no problems messing with this stuff, but I haven't done much with audio drivers and don't want to screw this up any further by not knowing what I'm doing.

So, a while back, I was having a bizarre issue with my computer's internet browser. No matter which browser I used (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, IE, Opera, etc.), there was a 12 second delay between starting it and having a window come up. There was no delay in the search, and none in pulling up...

Update. Not a perfect solution, but it definitely dropped my response time from 12-ish seconds to 2-ish. I've marked you as the solution. Thanks again, this has been driving me absolutely crazy.
