Hey, I appreciate the help, I switched my CPU from a 2600x to a 3600 and set the speed to 3200mhz in BIOS and all of a sudden it worked. Should I try XMP instead or is setting the speed manually good enough. It says 1599.6mhz in CPUz settings now so I think we're good.

Nope I haven't really used it a lot, even before it broke, I used a usb headset but I got a new headset now.

Found out something in my case shorted out the mobo. The audio worked when the mobo outside the case. Couldn't find the thing that was shorting it (cables were fine, no loose screws) so I just gave up. I think I'll just buy a 3.5mm to USB adapter.
