I am getting some new pc parts and my old rig has 6gb of ram and im ordering 8gb of ram so can i use them and have 14gb of ram in my new rig. My motherboard does have 4 slots for ram.

I have a rough idea on how to switch cards, but can someone give me a detailed step by step on how to do it as I really don't want to mess anything up. Also my CPU is an AMD APU, can someone tell me what drivers i need to uninstall so that i don't mess up the CPU as well. TY, Andy
