Hey guys,

First post here. I've been having trouble with BSODs on my 8.1 custom built system recently. First off, here's my list of components:

i5 4670k (Originally 3.4 GHz, OC'd to 4.4 GHz)
CORSAIR Hydro Series H105 Extreme Performance 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler
ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800); Timing 9-9-9-24; Voltage 1.5V
2 x NVIDIA 770 in SLI
Corsair AX760i PSU
1TB Western Digital Caviar Black
Windows 8.1 x64

The issues have begun occurring after installing the second NVIDIA 770. Running the PSU test on OCCT for roughly 10-15 minutes causes the BSOD. I've calculated my recommended PSU wattage using the eXtreme Power Supply Calculator Lite. It recommends 680W with a minimum of 630W, so with a PSU as high quality and efficient as the AX760i, I reckon I'm fine in that department. If I set BIOS settings to default, I have no trouble whatsoever. However, that's not what I'm going for here :p My OC on my processor was stable for a long time before I installed that second 770. I've also monitored my PSU via CorsairLink during the OCCT tests and while gaming, and it isn't coming anywhere near full load (not even half load, actually).

I can of course upload any logs or images as needed/requested, but I didn't want to spam my first post with those things.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

P.S. I apologize if this isn't in the correct area, but I wasn't sure where to post.

Solution
Hi there, I seem to have the same problems. I´ve tried sfc /scannow with no results and after a few searches of web I decided to make a full recvery of the system. It didn´t help. The crashes continue. One more thing: after a week of no solution found all the crushes were caused only by ntoskrnl.exe the hal.dll just stopped to appear in my crash dumps... I don´t use any OC, so maybe this could be relevant for you as a hope that it´s not caused by overclocking...

Any suggestions? Anyone?

Here are my specs:
windows version: Windows 8 , 6.2, build: 9200
Hardware: MS-7821, MSI, Z87-G45 GAMING (MS-7821)
CPU: GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz Intel586, level: 6
8 logical processors, active mask: 255
RAM: 17117835264...

Thanks for the reply.

I'm at work currently, and my remote session to my computer froze and won't respond :( I'll be trying all of this when I get home, though.

I'm still open for more discussion or ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated.
