[SOLVED] € 2.5k build

Good day gents,

I am looking for a 2500 euro gaming pc build, this is what I came up with so far, and was thinking maybe you guys know how I can improve it for this price. Keep in mind I do NOT need an SSD, or monitor because I will be using my old ones from my other pc.

I will be buying all the PC parts from Europe, specifically Holland.
Here is my list of what I am thinking of getting:

Size up to an 850w power supply. Those RTX 3080's can be power hogs.

Well, not really. 750W is already enough for a 3080. It is a power hog, but it won't consume more than ~420W at peak, so a good 750W is more than enough

The only reason why I didn't go with intel is that they always want a new socket when a new CPU comes out.

Ryzen is am4 since ryzen 1-5

Well, first of all, Intel changes sockets every 2 generations, sometimes even more. Only exception was LGA1150 which only supported 4th gen

Second, both LGA1200 and AM4 are end of life platforms. In 2022, a new socket will come out

And lastly, saying that AMD used the same socket for 4 generations (Zen, Zen+, Zen 2 and Zen 3) is the same as saying Intel did so too with LGA1151 (Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, Coffee Lake Refresh). The socket is the same, but the CPUs aren't actually supported. A320, B350 and X370 only have barebones Zen 2 support and can't work with Zen 3 at all. And vice versa, A520, B550 and X570 don't support Zen or Zen+. Only exceptions are B450 and X470, even so, Zen 3 support on them is barebones and you lose Zen/Zen+ support by updating to a version with Zen 3 support

Well is your choice of course but I have to agree with Why_Me. If I were on OP shoes I would get a bigger PSU. At least 850 watts, can be the same brand and model, or any other decent brand/model.

From what we've seen so far on this forum it seems nvidia was too conservative this time around with the psu recommendations.

5800x? Seriously? 10700KF is over 100 euro cheaper. The performance is within marginal, even so, it's very overkill for the card. 3070ti is a <Mod Edit> card, technically just a heavily OCd 3070. 275R is a decent case, but the looks are very... specific. Not everyone likes it. Peripherals are a personal thing, but wireless mice are much more comfortable than wired ones. Also, Red switches are linear, another thing to consider

Actually, this is mostly ok as is. Like, dang mate, this is pretty well balanced.

Usually the lists are pretty lopsided - too much focus on RGB, too many fans, or they cheaped out on the psu...

The reason for suggesting a higher wattage for the unit the OP already selected is related to the RTX 30 series' crappy power efficiency; sudden, yet random transient power spikes higher than the board's power limit pop up.
So the already high 400-ish watt 3080s can do 500w+ at times.
Should still be within what the OP's selected unit can handle... so I guess it's a comfort zone thing?
