Hello!

I just built my first pc about half a month ago. When I first started it up all the fans ran cleanly (I have three front fans, one back fan and a CPU fan). I use the fans that came with the ASUS TUF GT301 case. Now sometimes when I start up the pc, the bottom front fan doesn't spin, but if i give it a little push it starts spinning. The ARGB on it works as well, it just sometimes doesn't start spinning before I give it a spin. Might be a periodical fail because sometimes it spins when I start up. Any tips to what I can do?

Thanks in advance!

Check if the fan controller have an unused port and move the connector of the problematic fan to that extra port. At this point, I'm not sure if the problem is with the fan or that particular port on the controller.
If you've build the system on your own, might want to see if the fans on their own work, meaning if you disconnect all the other fans in your system with the one that looks faulty is left plugged in/powered.

On another note, might want to include the specs to your build in full so we can gauge what you're working with.

The bottom fan has worked before, it just seems like sometimes it just doesn't start up properly. I built it together with a friend who have built before. I can try to plug it in a different connector.

Case: ASUS TUF GT301
PSU: Cooler Master MWE Bronze V2 750W
RAM: HyperX Fury 2x8 GB 3600MHz CL17
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition
Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge Wifi
GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 (temporary)
SSD: Kingston A2000 500GB

How are the front fans connected? Are they running from a fan controller or directly from the motherboard? Are they individually connected to the board or are they sharing one 3/4-pin port?

If you turn the fan by hand (PC turned off), does it seem to bind compared to the other two working fans?

It is connected to a fan controller I believe, since there is a RGB controller for the led lights in the back of the case.. I wasn't the one who plugged the fans in, so I can ask my friend maybe..

What do you mean with bind compared to the other two fans?

I mean, if you rotate the fan by hand, does it turn as freely as the other two working fans?

Oh my bad. Yes it seems to do that, if I give them all a spin when turned off they all seem to spin the same. But I don't know why it sometimes starts up like the others and sometimes doesnt...
