1 keyboard 2 computers

There has to be a keyboard on the market that has a swtich on the keyboard to switch back and fourth to one computer to another please help me find one. a kvm switch isnt going to work here.

how come a kvm wont work?
i ask becausw that will help me understand what you are trying to do
a kvm serves the exact purpose you describe

Ok mabye i am wrong with a kvm i dont have to switch monitors do I? All that i am trying to do is use the same wired keyboard on 2 computer that have there own monitor i want the switch to be easy to use since i will be pushing it evey 1-5 minutes.

with a kvm you have one monitor,one keyboard,one mouse for two computers
it is basically a A-B switch
One thing is that they are usually vga/usb
if you are not using HDMI or DVI then ok
though i am sure that new models of KVMs
might have dvi but I havent seen them myself

older models are PS2 not usb so be careful

try to find one that advertises a soft switch
that is the "nicer" switch that open/shuts easy
