Question 1 long beep 2 short beeps but still boots

My pc posts 1 long beep and 2 short beeps with monitor hdmi set to version 2.0 pc posts this error and stays black and goes to windows lock screen. If I set the hdmi version to 1.4 the pc boots normally but it will limit my refresh rate to 60. 144hz need hdmi 2.0 ver

System hardware specs and OS?

Look in the Motherboard's User Guide/Manual to learn what the beep codes indicate.

Then address that aspect of your system. Could be that your desired configuration is not viable/possible and the system just defaults back to a workable configuration.

Windows 10 1909 that beep code denotes gpu error. Is it because of hdmi 2.0 in rx 580?
