Hello,
I have this problem for half a year now. When playing games, my hdd jumps to 100% but it also happens to my ssd if the game is downloaded there. Makes it impossible to game. Game freezes, System freezes, game sound bugged etc. I have this problem for half a year now. The problem usually lasts for 2-3 days then disapppears magically. But the problem always reoccured after couple of weeks.

I have tried:
disabling several services such as Sysmain, diagtrack and Windows Search.
Performing chkdsk /r /f
Disabling Microsoft Defender (sole Anti Virus)
Win 10 In place upgrade
Changing Sata cables

Win 10 Home
16 GB Ram
Radeon RX 580
Ryzen 5 1600
1 TB toshiba p300 HDD
128gb intenso ssd

How full is that 128 GB SSD?

For the most part the 128 GB SSD has become and really is likely too small.

The drive may also be in need of Disk Cleanup. Might provide some amount of relief.

Note: Do not defragment SSDs.)

Be sure that all important data is backed up and verified recoverable/readable before doing anything.

Even if not full. ( I keep my drives below 70-80% full.)

Thanks for the reply!
At the moment I have 10 gb of free space on my ssd. Prior to the In-Place Upgrade i had about 20 gb of free space and the problem was already occuring at that point.
Why would it happen on the hdd then? I had recently defragmented the hdd and also have 420 gb of free space there.
