I bought an r9 270 a couple weeks ago and I haven’t bought all my other parts yet I was thinking of pairing it whith a ryzen 3 1200 af would that. Is that good for 1080p gaming on medium settings?

for 60fps gameplay it shuld be fine, but games keeps moving towards 6cores

If possible try for a Ryzen 5 1600AF. It's the best budget 12 thread cpu out there. I had a Ryzen 3 1200 and even though games work on the quad core you won't have a very enjoyable experience especially in newer games.

its not supported by windows 11 and memory controller is so so... just a little advise for future proofing as it got low future
