right now i have athlon 2 x3 with msi 880gma-e45. its time to upgrade so should i get a 1100t/1090t be(225), 965 be(95) and keep my board until steamroller? or should i get a 990fx board now(msi gd80v2, 150) and get an fx6300/8350(210/140)? or get the board with the 965be... looking to spend no more than $320ish on both(some wiggle room here)... please no mention of intel. i plan on getting a steamroller chip when they come out, what do u guys think?

Out of all of those, the 965 for the price is a steal, If you can get a 1100T or 1090T then get that, but I wouldn't spend more then 200$ You can get the 8 core pile driver 8320/50 for less then 200$ and perform close to the 1100T. 8320 for 159$ is a steal and can OC to the same limit as the 8350. I would stay away from the FX4300, its just a dual core with well how do I want to say it "Fake cores". Same with the 6300 3 real cores with 3 fake cores, Fake is a bit hard, but Im not going to ever recomend a CPU where people arent even sure if its a true 6 core as stated on the box lol. 8 core does have real 8 cores, but are a bit on the slow side, allowing even the 965 to out perform it in most games.

thats what im goin for with the gd80v2, and my buddy is gonna sell me crucial m4 256gb with a 5770 for 200 and a pizza lol. ill just cf them till the 8k's and 700's come out, along with the crucial low pro 2x8gb. ill run this till steamroller and if its better than PD and around the price they are now ill upgrade then and go to an hd78xx-79xx/660-680 if the prices drop enough. what do u guys think about this partial upgrade? still torn on cases tho lol

Thats a pretty good. But you should try and upgrade the gpu to a 6870. Here's a benchmark http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/296?vs=290
And then crossfire it.

Ah. Even better. Personally I would go with the GTX 660. But that's me.
