Hi Guys!
This might be a stupid question, but I'm not that good with computers.

I have a 1-year-old Razer blade 15 which I love to game on, But I would like to have a bigger screen when I'm not traveling, so I have recently bought a BenQ 2411P screen that I would like to be able to connect to and still get 144Hz.
My problem is that when I connect them with a standard HDMI cable it will only get me 60Hz, I have therefor researched why, and got to the conclusion that it's not possible to get 144 Hz with an HDMI cable? I have therefore ordered a Mini Displayport to DisplayPort cable that should support up to 244Hz when gaming at 1080p.

I just want to make sure that I can get the 144 Hz, and that there is no problem with connecting a mini Display to a Display, or that my driver can't support it or something.
Hope you can help me :D

Solution
Depends on the monitor if Hdmi can reach 120/144Hz but need DVI/DP with your particular monitor according to it's specs.

Mini DP to DP should work.

Here's some good reading.
