I just bought a lcd monitor w/ a resolution of 1440x900. i know that all monitors are "hd." if i order a blueray player and hook it up w/ hdmi, will it run at 1080p?
so 1680x1050 is not 1080p? its 720p? if so that sucks horrably

oh so you meant a 16:9 format. that is nitpicking as my monitor can still display the full resolution and indeed then some albeit 20 pixels.
could you please be more clear as i thought you meant it couldn't do 1080progressively but would be able to do 1080interlaced.
the difference is 10 pixels below and above so it is hardly a big deal. my monitor is still capable of 1080p so your point IMO is moot.
