Question 144hz issue

Whenever I set my refresh rate to 144hz the display messes up and doesn’t cover the whole screen yet the resolution is still 1920x1080 but when it is 60hz the display is fine, any fixes?

Well, you'll need to provide a little more information. What monitor do you have? Please list your full system specs.

Have you swapped out the cables with new ones to test those?

my monitor is msi optix ag32cv
gpu:r9 270
cpu:i3-4150
im on dvi

First thing's first.

Has it ever worked on the current setup? If no, the first thing I'd check is the cable and try another one. That card usually comes with all 3 ports, DVI, HDMI, Displayport, so try them all.

Use a display port cable for 144Hz.
