Graphics card: Asus Geforce GTX1060 6GB
Cable: DVI-D (Dual Link)
Operating system: Windows 10 64-Bit

In Nvidia Control Panel, when I click 'Apply' for anything above 60Hz, the screen either goes completely black or turns purple with very blurred texture, before I wait and it reverts back to 60Hz. When changing the resolution in Window's 'Advanced display setting', 144Hz is showing up as an option but the same thing happens when applied.
Tried 3 different DVI-D cables (Single Link x2 Dual Link x1). The same thing happens with each one.
Had the exact same problem with my previous PC which ran GTX 650 and Windows 10.
Any help with this problem would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time in advance.
